Winter tyres on the snow

Some time ago my husband had brought his new winter tyres from the basement to the garage, because he was going to change his summer tyres into the winter ones. He did that, but then something came up and he forgot to do it the same day. The next day he went into the garage and he couldn"t find the winter tyres anymore. It looked like they had vanished. My husband asked me, if I had taken them, but why should I, I had no idea what could have happened to them. My husband was very angry and he wanted to call the police and inform them about the theft, but I told him, to go and ask our children first, maybe they would know, what happened to the winter tyres. My husband searched for the boys for a very long time and finally he managed to find them. They were playing in the snow on some meadow. They were sliding on something, that looked like tyres. When my husband came closer to them, he recognized his winter tyres. The children had taken them, because their sledges were broken and they had nothing to slide on. My husband was totally mad at them, because the winter tyres were brand new and now he had to clean them up from all this snow. He told the kids to roll the winter tyres together with him to our house. He then told them not to touch anything else in the garage.
